The Rosenstein Optical Steampunk Monocle is a fascinating and hypnotic Steampunk monocle unlike anything you've ever seen before. An intense aqua colored eye blatantly stares into the diabolical cogs of gyrating machinery, edged against a crisp Victorian lab coat, padded for the winter snow. A pseudo copper gauge sits atop this 24" long leather strap, which secures itself with press stud fastening....If this isn't the coolest thing you've ever seen, well, then we give up....
Steampunk! Ever so wondrous contraptions, imagineered from an age that could have been, or still can be! Alchemy 'Steampunk' designs revolve around Ezekiel Empire Rosenstein's (or "EER" Victorian "descendant" to the original, 18th century Dr. von Rosenstein) incredible Galvanic Matter Transposition System for "pronto mass remotion' - the earliest known teleporter or 'three dimensional fax machine." Known as the "GMT," this sensational invention was sadly, completely lost to science. However, from a combination of surviving fragments, anecdotal evidence and recently found early drawings, Alchemy Gothic have reconstructed several of the Rosenstein GMT's principle elements.

Looks great but a couple of drawbacks Review by Xavier
Rating I've always been fond of ravens so the big bird eye was a definite draw for me. It looks awesome, but there are a couple of drawback to its design I thought. 1) The strap has snaps instead of the buckle, so if your head doesn't happen to fit the snap spacing, you're kinda hosed. 2) The 'eye' doesn't sit to well on the bridge of your nose, I'd recommend putting leather or something to 'gasket' it for comfort. 3) It's kinda mislabeled as a 'monocle' I was thinking you'd be able to see through it but, alas, it's really an eyepatch (with a nice engraved pic of EA Poe on the inside tho) 4) lastly I think the price is WAY to high for what you're actually getting, it would be pretty easy to take a belt buckle (which i'm pretty sure is what they did) and solder/weld a loop and attach leather straps to it.
In closing, it looks great and I love it, but not quite worth the cost and time it takes Alchemy to get it in the mail to ya. The best steam punk accessories are still DiY (Posted on 10/6/09) -
