In the Middle ages, the most common sign to ward off demonic powers. Gilt two tone with blue cabochon crystal, expertly cast in Pewter. All pendants are cast and hand-made in fine English pewter, many with additional high quality components, and all come complete upon their nickel-free chains, (or lace, cord, leather thong, etc), of the appropriate length.
The pentacle is an ancient astrological-alchemical hieroglyph that is one of the most misunderstood of universal symbols. This five-pointed star's origin reaches back 1000's of years in Mesopotamia and was a graphical measurement of the astrological conjunctions of the Sun and Venus. Imbued with esoteric qualities, the pentagram represents the morning star phase of the planet Venus. It is also believed that the pentagram was the original device central to the Seal of Solomon. Although many interpretations exist for this mystical star, Alchemists view the five points as spirit, air, fire, water, and earth. The endless, interwoven sides of the pentagram represents continuity and eternity as it binds evil forces in order to bring harmony, peace, and luck.

Rating I love this piece. It's big enough to be eye-catching but not so big that it's overbearing or distracting. The detail is clear. The blue stone in the center catches the light so you can see the color. It looks nice on men or women. I didn't care for the chain that comes with it. I gave one as a gift, on a black leather cord, to my guy. I wear mine on a black silk ribbon. They look fantastic. (Posted on 4/30/11)

Rating This pendant looks better in hand than in the pictures, I bought this for my wifes birthday. I was very worried it wouldnt arrive in time as I had waited too long debating on what to order. But they got it to me faster than I had thought possible, so early infact I had to find somewhere to hide the things I ordered. (Posted on 3/29/11)

Not perfect but great Review by Luis
Rating Well, regarding obscuria, I must praise their dedication to the order and all their support, specialy from Mr Bronson.
This specific pendant disapointed me a little. The design is exactly as shown on the pictures but as most of the times with alchemy, the actual pendant is a little rougher than you are led to beleive (not filled with all the lustre they have on pics). However, it is larger than I thought it was and overall the craft is almost perfect. If I could go back in time I think I would still purchase this, and definitively in this store.
Overall, the edges are a little rough but the gilded pentagon and the blue crystal look great, so do the marks on the actual pentacle. So, in few words, it is not perfect, but still looks awesome. (Posted on 4/5/10)
