About the artists:

Joseph Vargo has been conjuring fantasy artwork for well over a decade. His Gothic visions open a gateway to the darkside and dare the viewer to venture within. His haunting images were the inspiration for the Gothic anthology, Tales from the Dark Tower. Joseph is the cover artist for Dark Realms Magazine and has also been featured in several other publications including Spectrum III,Carpe Noctem, and Dark Visions. In 1998, Joseph began working with the band Midnight Syndicate, producing, directing the music and creating the artwork for the Gothic soundtrack Born of the Night. He continued to work with them on the follow-up release Realm of Shadows. In 2002, Joseph released The Gothic Tarot to critical acclaim. In 2003, Joseph returned to the music arena and released the haunting soundtrack Darklore Manor with his new band, Nox Arcana.Vargo's avid interest in horror writer H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos served as the inspiration for Nox Arcana's second album, Necronomicon.

Christine Filipak combines a subtle blend of fine art techniques and digital wizardry to create elegant and timeless imagery. Her primary inspiration comes from Alphonse Mucha, master artist of the Art Nouveau movement, along with a deep fascination for ancient cultures. As art director for Monolith Graphics, Christine's talents are utilized in the design and layout of Dark Realms
Magazine as well as posters, t-shirts, calendars, and CDs. Her other credits include writing and co-editing the Gothic anthology Tales From The Dark Tower as well as creating and managing the Monolith Graphics and Nox Arcana web sites. In 2003, Christine created and produced the lush artwork for Madame Endora's Fortune Cards.
